Tovrik the magician is a well-known performer, famous across the Western Lands for his light shows. With his goatee beard and diamond hat he is a somewhat comical figure and it is a matter of debate whether his shows are magic or merely clever tricks. Somehow, he has for many years avoided trouble and managed to accumulate a fair measure of coin along the way.

When he is not touring Tovrik can be found trying to restore the library of Caerddyn, the great mage of Albion’s court in the tower known as Elevered.

Tovrik is an old friend of Earl Cynric and Sir Marc and has visited Connlad many times over the years so that he is almost a familiar sight to Caleigh now.

Tovrik’s favourite animals are birds of prey, in particular eagles.

Gideon

Hair: Raven

Eyes: Green

Height: 5′ 10″

Gideon is Tovrik’s best-known apprentice and is now habitually seen with him upon his light show tours. Every bit as clever as his master, he lacks Tovrik’s jovial streak and has had to work hard on his stage craft. Few seem to know how they came to be working together only that they are not related.

Gideon’s favourite animals are corvids.

Vaughn

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Brown

Height: 5’8″

Vaughn was once a fairly popular bard until suspicions about the nature of his gift for storytelling put him in one-too-many difficult situations. Rescued from a mob by Gideon, Vaughn now prefers to train young librarians in the matters of Elevered.

Vaughn’s favourite animals are foxes.

Diarmund

Diarmund is the master healer and botanist of Elevered as well as being the head of the Art of Druidry. He has been in Elevered for seventeen years attending to the sick and tending the the gardens.

Diarmund’s favourite animals are badgers.

Mabon

Mabon is the chief librarian and treasurer of Elevered. After Tovrik, he is the longest-serving Librarian and is also an accomplished illusionist.

Mabon’s favourite animals are owls.

Rosamund

Rosamund is twin-sister to Aethelbald and a student of the Art of Illusion at Elevered.

Aethelbald

Aethelbald is twin-brother to Rosamund and an occasional student of the Art of Enchantment at Elevered.

Hair: Greying brown

Eyes: Blue

Height: 5’11

Sir Edgar of Minerva is the head of the Royal Order of Secret Keepers, the military arm of Elevered.
